Lake Taupo Cycle Challenge

Arguably one of the largest sports participation events in New Zealand, the Lake Taupo Cycle Challenge is looking forward to welcoming around 5,000 riders and over 7,000 supporters to the Taupo region on Saturday 29 November 2025.

The event is designed to offer something for everyone and inspires people to push their personal limits and challenge themselves. It is all about celebrating cycling in all its shapes and forms - whether you're a roadie, a hard out mountain biker, a gravel rider or want to take it a bit easier with one of the family rides, there's an option for you!

The Lake Taupo Cycle Challenge is managed and delivered by a small team of proud locals who are honoured to be involved with this world-class event. This event has grown from grassroots to one of New Zealand’s most iconic sporting occasions and Suzuki New Zealand is delighted to be a partner in this event.
