UK & Australia joins New Zealand as highly satisfied owners of Suzuki cars

UK and Australian owners have voted in unison with their fellow New Zealanders over the strong popularity of Suzuki cars according to recent independent surveys.

The British Institute of Customer Service’s latest barometer of satisfaction placed Suzuki number one overall out of 26 automotive brands measured.

Canstar Blue in Australia awarded Suzuki the top spot in Most Satisfied Customers for Small Cars and the Best Value New Cars categories for 2020.

This followed a survey by Consumer NZ that ranked Suzuki the most satisfied owners in New Zealand with reliable cars. In the Consumer New Zealand’s People’s Choice award Suzuki was first following an analysis of 19 brands, 94 models and a total of 9,736 cars.

The UK survey of customer satisfaction asked over 10,000 customers to rate their experiences of dealing with 260 companies across 13 sectors for July 2021, including those in the motor industry. Suzuki ranked first in the automotive sector and an impressive third overall.

The average score in the automotive industry sector was 79.1 points measured across 26 brands, with winner Suzuki achieving a score of 84.0 - 25 places ahead of its closest automotive competitor from the full list of companies measured.

As part of the survey, customers were asked questions relating to various aspects of the way they were treated when dealing with brands. This included trust, experience, customer ethos, emotional connection and ethics.

Amongst automotive makes assessing the ratio of respondents who would likely recommend a brand to others, Suzuki was again number one with a score of 54.1 against a sector average of 29.8.

The latest survey is not the first time Suzuki has been named top automotive brand in Britain by the Institute of Customer Service. The brand’s Vitara model won two UK consumer awards and Suzuki was awarded Best City Car at the Green Fleet awards.

In Australia, Suzuki scored a maximum 5 stars in overall satisfaction, reliability, driving experience and value for money in the Small Car category for 2020 Canstar Blue survey of 600 Australian owners of a small vechicle purchased from a dealership within the last 3 years.

Outshining 6 other popular small car brands, Suzuki have won this category four out of the last five years, a testament to the expertise in providing reliable and affordable smaller-sized vehicles that exceed customer expectations.

Suzuki was also the only the brand who scored the maximum 5 stars for Canstar Blue’s Best Value for Money across all of the 15 brands and 2500 Australian motorists surveyed.

Ninety percent of the Suzuki owners in the Consumer New Zealand survey said they were “very satisfied” and no fewer than 89 percent would recommend the Suzuki brand. More Suzuki owners than the average were very satisfied with their car.

The Consumer NZ survey revealed Suzuki Swift owners were significantly more satisfied than the average small car owner. This is particularly relevant in terms of reliability and modest running costs.

Globally recognised as an innovative leader in compact cars, motorcycles, marine and four-wheel-drive technology, Suzuki’s automotive division recently celebrated the milestone of 25 million Japanese domestic market sales since the launch of its Suzulight small car in 1955.

The Suzulight was ahead of its class rivals by as much as three decades with technology that included front-wheel-drive, four-wheel independent suspension and rack and pinion steering.

Suzuki is the tenth largest automotive manufacturer in the world, the second top-selling brand in Japan, and has 35 production facilities in 23 countries with representation in 192 countries.
