The New Ignis Super-Compact SUV

Following the runaway success of the award-winning Swift and Vitara, Suzuki is defining new categories once again with the all-new Ignis super-compact SUV. With high ground clearance, retro-cool looks and all the latest features, it’s unlike anything.

Driving Ignis the first thing that strikes you is a fantastic sense of agility and responsiveness. This is partly down to Suzuki’s newly developed compact 1.2 litre VVT engine with DUALJET technology. This little marvel uses high thermal efficiency and low friction technology to deliver incredible performance with ultra-low C02 emissions. There’s a choice of two transmissions – 5-speed manual for full control, or advanced, smooth-shifting CVT.

Ignis’ highly responsive handling is also the result of a lightweight yet rigid new-generation platform and suspension system. This offers excellent open-road comfort and stability yet has a turning circle of just 4.7m – perfect for getting in and out of tight spots.

Ignis is well ahead of the game here, with a touch-screen multi-media Sat Nav system featuring Apple CarPlay and Android Auto (LTD model). It has steering wheel controls for convenience and safety so you can call your friends, find your way, or listen to your favourite tunes with ease. Ignis also offers cruise control with speed limiter so you can set your own pace on long journeys; there’s climate control air conditioning for extra comfort and a reversing camera for added safety (LTD).

The interior of the Ignis is surprisingly roomy. Thanks to a compact engine and clever use of space, it actually seems larger inside than out! Elevated seating makes it easy to get in and out of, and as a bonus, improves visibility. The rear seat can be moved to give your passengers more leg room or create extra space for sports gear, shopping or luggage (LTD).
