Suzuki Scoops Another Customer Satisfaction Award

Suzuki passenger cars and compact SUV models have taken another independent customer satisfaction award while the brand’s strong selling Swift continues to attract even more demand.

Following its consumer approval success last year in New Zealand, Suzuki recently topped a customer satisfaction survey in Australia and was also named the most satisfied make of car amongst small car customers for the third successive year.

Suzuki scored a maximum 5 stars in overall satisfaction, reliability and value for money in the 2018 Canstar Blue survey in Australia, outshining 14 other popular automotive brands.

Michael Pachota, General Manager of Suzuki Australia’s automobile division, said it was a proud day for the brand to be acknowledged as “class leading” across the entire automotive new car market.

The Canstar Blue survey compares brands on driving experience, point of sales service, after sales service, reliability, value for money and car servicing. Owners responded that Suzuki came out particularly well with respect to reliability.

Canstar surveyed 2,307 Australian adults who purchased a new vehicle from a dealership in the last three years, but only brands that received least 30 responses were included in the results.

Pachota said Suzuki’s research and development teams both in Australia and overseas continued to excel to the next level. “This award is a testament to their dedication for developing the Suzuki product to provide the ultimate driving experience, value for money and reliability,” he said.

The Australian results are matching the strong performance here with Suzuki being rated the number one car brand in the 2017 Canstar Blue customer satisfaction survey in New Zealand.

Suzuki lifted its Australian sales by 0.6 percent in the first quarter of 2018, while Swift sales were up 90 percent in the same period. This was largely thanks to the introduction of the fourth generation Swift in June last year and the flagship Swift Sport three months ago.

The Swift also continues to make advances in the New Zealand market, building on a clear lead in the light car class for the first quarter of 2018, with 32.3 percent of the category, up from 27 percent for the same period last year.

In the first three months of this year Swift sales in New Zealand increased by 15.4 per cent, in contrast to demand for all new passenger cars declining by 7.4 percent.

Suzuki has sold more than six million Swifts in 158 countries since 2004, and the car was one of the top three in the 2018 World Urban Car award announced recently at the New York motor show.
