As well as the professional sports Suzuki New Zealand sponsor, they are also involved in amateur events – why not join the thousands of Kiwis that take part each year?
XRACE – THE GRAND FAMILY ADVENTURE
XRACE is a nationwide event that pits family teams of two against each other in a series of fun, mystery challenges. Teams need to work together to decipher clues, find the challenges, and be the first in their age group to complete them all correctly.
Each team is made up of a child aged between 7 and 12, and their mum or dad (or any adult) game enough to race three-legged up a creek, complete a hula hoop challenge and generally avoid being sent to the bouncy castle jail.
Sound like fun? That’s the point, and one of the reasons Suzuki NZ got behind the event as a sponsor. XRACE is all about getting out and enjoying yourself, regardless of whether you walk, run or hop your way through the course.
Who knows, you could even find yourself dancing gangnam style all the way to the 2014 Grand Finals in Rotorua and be just a few huhu grub lunches away from winning a 7 night family trip to the Gold Coast.

TRI SOMETHING A LITTLE DIFFERENT THIS SUMMER
If you think running, swimming and cycling aren’t your thing, think again. The .kiwi Tri Series is a seven race national event delivered by Triathlon New Zealand and proudly supported by Suzuki New Zealand. It’s been running since 2006, where it began as part of the World Triathlon Festival in New Plymouth.
It’s designed to give even the most amateur athletes a chance to experience the sport. Last summer, the series had over 4,000 participants, aged from as little as 6 right through to 80.
Experienced triathletes can test themselves in the Trophy events, but just as much focus is placed on the beginner’s and kid’s categories. A 300m swim, 9 km bike ride and relatively modest 3 km run provide an opportunity for the curious to experience the exhilaration of completing a triathlon.
If you’re near Auckland or Wellington there’s still time to give it a ‘Tri’. The 2013-2014 series continues until early April. Every entry goes into the draw to win a Suzuki Swift. You can enter online at www.triseries.co .nz.
