Athletic Stance For Limited Edition Suzuki Swift XS2
A limited edition version of the Suzuki Swift, New Zealand’s favourite supermini, has gone on sale.
The new Swift XS2 incorporates distinctive body features that add individuality to the evergreen five-door hatchback.
Standard features include a bold colour-keyed body kit and LED daytime running lamps incorporated into the stylish front end lower bumper design. The front and rear lower body mouldings and side skirts provide the XS2 with a more aggressive stance than the standard Swift.
HRS aluminium alloy wheels provide a more athletic profile and make the Swift stand out in a crowd.
An XS2 graphic and a neat spoiler fitted to the top of the hatchback door also distinguish the latest version of the top-selling Swift.
The compact Suzuki has remote control door locking, 60/40 split folding rear seats, air conditioning, a height adjustable driver’s seat, tilt adjustable steering and electrically operated windows and door mirrors. A Sony audio system and four speakers are also standard.
The XS2 has UV cut front door glass and a computer display for fuel consumption and fuel range distance to empty.
An economical, low emission 1.4-litre double overhead camshaft 4-cylinder engine with variable valve technology produces 70kW of power at 6,000 rpm.
The Swift is strong on safety with anti-lock brakes and EBD, electronic stability control (ESP) and seven SRS airbags which include a driver’s knee airbag. It has a high 5-Star EuroNCAP safety rating.
Ablaze Red pearl, Sunlight Copper pearl, Boost Blue pearl, Plasma Yellow, Snow White pearl, Star Silver metallic and Super Black pearl provide an offering of seven exterior body colours.
More than 2.5 million of the current and previous generation Swifts have been sold since 2005 and the model is now the world’s tenth bestselling passenger car.
Not only is Swift the top selling new car to private buyers in New Zealand but it is also entering its eighth year as the most popular supermini sold locally.
Appealing styling, excellent build quality and good driving manners have ensured the Swift continues its successful run in the New Zealand market.
The Swift XS2 is introduced at a highly competitive price of $22,500 plus on road costs in five-speed manual transmission form, or $23,990 + ORC when specified with a four-stage electronic automatic transmission.
To coincide with the release of the XS2, Suzuki New Zealand has announced the introduction of a revised warranty programme for all automobile models. The standard three year/100,000 kilometre new vehicle warranty and five year roadside assistance plan has been boosted by a five year/100,000 kilometre powertrain warranty. Suzuki is already world renowned for the reliability of their models and the introduction of the new 5 year warranty and roadside assistance programme provides Suzuki customers with one of New Zealand’s leading aftersales support packages.
