A spin around The Block

Three's The Block NZ is a long-running, ultra-competitive reality show about renovating and selling houses. It follows four teams as they build and decorate an entire home room by room, as well as completing various challenges along the way. Filmed in Auckland, it’s all local content and one of Three’s highest rated shows.

This year Suzuki are excited to partner with The Block NZ. We’ve equipped each team with a brand new Suzuki SUV to help them power through their DIY challenges – big and small. So if you’ve been watching the show you might have noticed some hard-working Vitaras or S-Crosses zipping around packed with DIY tools and materials.

Go TEAM Blue!

Fans of the show know Ben and Tom (both 24) have been best mates since birth. Ben, an architect graduate is a self-professed workaholic who’s always up for a good time and dreams of one day owning his own architecture firm. Tom, who describes Ben as his ‘brother from another mother’, is a project manager and all-round handyman.

The pair describes renovating as ‘the ultimate DIY playground’, and have gone from strength to strength approaching each task with their trademark enthusiasm and sense of humour. Being a jack of all trades, Tom has launched fearlessly into everything from skylights to creating art with a broom. His DIY partner Ben obviously enjoys some cheeky banter, but isn't fond of confrontation. Their approach so far seems to be 'keep your head down and your eyes on the prize'!

With Ben and Tom's knack for creating amazing, out-of-the-ordinary designs, it's going to be fun to see if they have what it takes to beat Gizzy Hard couple Amy and Stu, BFF's Chlo and Em, and passionate Hamilton duo Claire and Agni. The team that makes the greatest profit above their house reserve price at the auction will take home the grand prize of $100,000 and all teams will take home any profit they make above reserve from the sale of their home.
