World traveller, avid snowboarder and lover of good food, beer and coffee, Lexie Brown is ready for a year of adventure exploring our beautiful New Zealand. To help get off the beaten track we have teamed her up with the one and only Suzuki Jimny.
Whether it's heading for the hills on a hunting trip with the family, or getting up at the crack of dawn to go fishing, or heading up the mountain to hit the slopes, we look forward to joining Lexie for the ride.
She recently came in to visit us in our Whanganui office, so we asked her a few questions.
What were the biggest lessons you learned from being on TVNZ 2’s The Bachelorette?
I went into the show knowing to trust myself and have fun with the entire thing, really make the most of it, you know? And I think that is exactly what I did and I loved every minute. I learned a lot about myself along the way, and how I can be in dating situations but it’s such an alternate reality that I’m not sure I can relay those learnings into real life, haha!
What goals are you working towards right now?
This year I’ve defined a bunch of personal goals and business goals to focus on. I want to be getting outside more than ever before and enjoying what NZ has to offer. When it comes to my business goals, well I can’t be giving away too many details there just yet.
What does Christmas or other family events look like for you?
Basically, we’re a massive family who love an excuse to get together and celebrate. There are a lot of strong female characters floating around so it can be full on for any husbands or boyfriends who have joined the family! I’m sure everyone gets used to it after a while though and it can’t be too bad as we’re always having a laugh and having fun.
What’s on your favourite playlist at the moment?
Lately, I’ve been addicted to Spotify Radio. I do a mood check, pick a song I already love, and can then be intro’d to way more new music that might make my playlist for good. My music mood also changes with the wind. I can go from hectic bangers to chill acoustic covers, just like that.
What do you do when you want to ‘get away from it all’?
I like to literally ‘get away’, when I need a break. A beach house somewhere or a weekend away to a new place. I like to ignore my phone and find some peace wherever I am or whoever I am with. A massive night out with my mates can do the trick too actually.
What’s the scariest thing you’ve ever done (apart from going on a reality TV show)?
Every time I started a new life in a new country, it was half incredible and half scary. There were definitely some scary moments there, a few times trying to make it all work and get sorted. Great for character development though, as my Mum says.
Where is your favourite place in New Zealand and why?
Wow, what a question. That’s like asking parents to pick their favourite child. I am in love with so many places in New Zealand. This place is such a mecca for natural beauty. Can anybody really pick a favourite spot?
What is the one place you haven’t been to in New Zealand that you really want to visit and why?
Good question. I’d like to visit some of our islands, particularly Great Barrier Island and Stewart Island. But there is so much more than that, New Zealand’s spots are endless.
