Grid Kids gives children between the ages of 6-13 the opportunity to participate in 6 Duathlon events around New Zealand between November and March coinciding with the New Zealand Motorsport Series.
The Duathlon consists of a run followed by a bike with achievable distances for all abilities. The emphasis is on participation in an environment where kids are supported by their peers, family and inspirational motorsport drivers.
Grid Kids aim to deliver a fun, safe event that allows kids to take part in physical exercise while including them as part of the action at motor race events. Participants receive a race pack including complimentary tickets to the motor racing held on the weekend of their event as well as the chance to be a 'grid kid' for the New Zealand V8 and Swift Sport Cup races.
