Make no mistake; the ACC New Zealand Masters Games is now a major event on the national sports calendar. With over 65 different sports and an expected 8,000 entrants, the 2008 Games look set to make it the biggest since the event began 21 years ago. The Games are held over 9 days with over 530 individual events at 48 venues, from traditional Track and Field to Line Dancing, Wakeboarding and Texas Hold ‘em Poker. All sports are basically social grade so despite the hard fought competition, the Games are also a lot of fun for the participants. It’s an event not to be missed.
