Adventure Pack Special Adds to Versatility of Suzuki SX4
Wintry weather has boosted sales of the four-wheel-drive version of the compact Suzuki SX4 five-door hatchback in New Zealand.

The increasing popularity of the model has prompted Suzuki New Zealand to offer an Adventure Pack Special, a limited edition version of the 2.0-litre SX4 GLX AWD (all wheel drive) and SX4 LTD AWD.

The extras package is being offered exclusively on the manual 5-speed versions of the SX4 AWD in a special value package.

The Adventure Pack comprises a Uniden GPS unit, bonnet protector, tow bar and wiring, roof rack cross rails with two cycle attachments, cargo tray, carpet set and Timex Ironman watch.

Distinguishing the limited edition version are “4x4 Adventure” decals located on the lower sides of the car.

Despite a value of almost $2,500 for these accessories, the Adventure Pack is available at no additional cost. In GLX specification, the four-wheel-drive SX4 has a recommended retail price of $26,500, while the higher level LTD is $28,500.

“Owners are appreciating the benefits of the versatile SX4, including the vehicle’s leisure attributes, so we are pleased to be able to offer this extra value package at no cost to the purchaser,” said Gary Collins, Automobile Sales Manager for Suzuki New Zealand Limited.

“Over recent months we have experienced a noticeable increase in all wheel drive SX4 sales,” he said. “With the miserable winter weather customers are identifying the strong safety benefits of AWD.”

“The SX4 is continuing to be a very consistent seller for Suzuki. With the extensive model range and highly competitive pricing, the model is attracting ever-rising attention,” said Gary Collins.

Eleven versions of the SX4 are available in New Zealand with the choice of two engine sizes and the five-door hatchback or four-door sedan body configurations.

The SX4 is the second biggest selling Suzuki passenger car model on the local market, with prices starting from $22,990 for the 1.6 GLX Sporthatch in two-wheel-drive mode.

Keen pricing, low running costs and an appealing European inspired Giorgetto Giugiaro design have made the multi-dimensional SX4 one of the top selling small cars with sustained demand this year.

In last year’s AA Energy Wise Rally run in the North Island, the 2-litre AWD SX4 averaged 6.77 litres/100 km (41.7 miles per gallon) while the 1.6-litre two wheel drive SX4 returned 5.34 litres/100 km (52.9 miles per gallon).

Suzuki is finding the car’s strong styling appeals to people of all ages, and the option of a highly capable crossover model with intelligent all-wheel drive technology a winning formula.
