Customer Attention Earns Success For Masterton Motorcycle Dealer

Looking after customers has proved a winning formula for a successful motorcycle dealer in Masterton.

In spite of working within a relatively small population base, Masterton motorcycle dealer Dave Anderson Limited has become one of the top-selling Suzuki outlets in New Zealand.

The family-run business has been selling Suzuki motorcycles for more than 35 years and has regularly been one of the brand’s top three dealers.

“You might expect the large urban centres would host New Zealand’s biggest motorcycle dealers, but that is not necessarily the case,” said Simon Meade,. Motorcycle Sales Manager for Suzuki New Zealand

In 2007 Dave Anderson Limited sold 335 motorcycles and ATVs, an outstanding result cementing the dealership’s position and the third highest selling Suzuki dealer for the year.

“In doing so, Anderson’s team was also close to finishing second best dealer,” said Meade. “This is a remarkable result in a rural area with just a fraction of the population base which the larger, urban and city dealers enjoy.”

The secret of Dave Anderson’s success is the focus on customer service, according to Simon Meade.

“As a brand we try to achieve top levels of service and responsiveness for our customers, and Dave and his team uphold this philosophy to a tee,” said Meade

“The dealership has a high proportion of repeat and referral business, and that’s a tribute to both the Suzuki product and to the way Dave Anderson Limited look after clients”.

The Masterton dealer is also one of Suzuki’s strongest Boulevard range dealers, outselling all but three urban dealers for the cruiser style machines. Dave Anderson achieved 25 Boulevard model sales in the Wairarapa during 2007, and is the host dealer for the Suzuki “Boulevard Rally” being held in April.

A sterling performance by Dave Anderson Limited was spurred on by the fact Suzuki was once again the biggest selling motorcycle brand in New Zealand.
