A major step forward for Suzuki’s flagship model
The 2009 Grand Vitara range is a major step forward for Suzuki’s flagship model continuing Suzuki’s tradition of constantly improving the compact SUV segment it began. Suzuki is now the only manufacturer offering a 3-door SUV in the New Zealand market, helping to ensure you can find the perfect vehicle to meet your needs. The popular Grand Vitara 3-door has been given a major boost with the introduction of the new 2.4 litre VVT engine, available in both automatic and manual transmission. The new 2.4-litre 3-door now comes standard with ESP, six SRS airbags and rear ventilated disc brakes along with Suzuki’s highly capable 4 Mode 4WD with selectable high/low ratio.
Preventative safety features begin with ESP (Electronic Stability Program), which is now standard on all 2.4-litre Grand Vitara models. ESP supplements the Grand Vitara's directional stability with three major functions:
- anti-lock braking system (ABS) with electronic brake-force distribution (EBD),
- traction control, and
- stability control.
The sleek and sporty lines of the 3-door Grand Vitara provide a visual statement about its athletic performance with flared fenders and a wide tread stance immediately evident. The interior continues the sporty theme in spirit and design, creating an atmosphere that encourages occupants to relax and enjoy the ride.
